What they said
Head coach Kenny Murray said: “The team have prepared well for what should be a very competitive match in Colwyn Bay.
“We beat Wales last year at Scotstoun, but our hosts will be sure to use that as fuel to push for a win in front of their home crowd.
“The Under-20 Six Nations is always an exciting time of year for everyone involved. The players have put a lot of time and effort into their own game over the last year and we can’t wait to see them out on the pitch on Friday.“
- Scotland won 36 turnovers in the U20 Six Nations last year, more than any other team, including 16 turnover-winning tackles–also a Championship high.
- Liam McConnell was the only Scotland player to feature for all 400 minutes in the U20 Six Nations last year, the back
rower made 54 carries and 63 tackles, one of just four players to reach a half century in both categories(also David Odiase, Brian Gleeson and Greg Fisilau).
- Scotland have won 3 of their last 5 Under-20 Six Nations matches against Wales, including a tight 18-17 victory at Scotstoun last year.
