Scotland Women return to Scottish Gas Murrayfield as historic Season Package goes on sale

The action-packed season, which sees the launch of the new WXV Global Series and a new format in the Guinness Women’s Six Nations and culminates in the first-ever British & Irish Lions tour next summer, is being marked by the re-introduction of the Scotland Women Season Package.

And for all six home matches, five at Hive Stadium and one at Scottish Gas Murrayfield, next season, the Scotland Women Season Package guarantees those who don’t want to miss any of the action a seat.

As well as seeing Scotland play New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Italy, Wales and Ireland, Season Package holders will also have the opportunity to attend at least one Scotland training session during the season and an opportunity to meet the players.

With the XWV Global Series seeing top-level opposition in 2025 Women’s Rugby World Cup runners-up Canada (kick-off 4:10pm), second-in-the-world New Zealand (kick-off 5:10pm) and Australia (kick-off 4:10pm) arrive in Edinburgh, and these matches will be supporters first opportunity to watch Scotland Women at home next season.

After those home matches at the Hive on 12, 19 and 29 September, respectively, Scotland Women will make their return to Scottish Gas Murrayfield against Ireland in their next home contest.

This game on Saturday 10 April 2027 with a 5pm kick-off follows setting a record crowd for a women’s sporting event in Scotland, with more than 30,000 in attendance when Scotland hosted England in this year’s Women’s Six Nations at Scottish Gas Murrayfield.

That Making Moves match was a memorable day for fans – whether lifelong Scotland rugby supporters or first-time attendees – and players alike, as it proved to be a powerful showing of backing for Scotland Women from team arrivals to the final whistle.

And with all five rounds played on ‘Super Saturdays’ in 2027 and attendances continuing to grow, the return to Scottish Gas Murrayfield keeps the movement’s momentum firmly on the rise.

Ireland’s visit will be the second standalone fixture Scotland Women have played in at Scottish Murrayfield and will also see the second edition of the Siobhan Cattigan trophy, which was contested in this year’s meeting between the two nations at the Aviva Stadium.

Scotland Women will then host Italy and Wales in the Women’s Six Nations back-to-back, on 8 May (kick-off 5pm) and 15 May (kick-off 2:30pm), respectively, at the Hive to round off the 2027 campaign.

Scotland Women captain, Rachel Malcolm, said: “To get the opportunity to play at Scottish Gas Murrayfield for a second time is another step forward for the women’s game in Scotland.

“The off-pitch experience, made possible by our incredible fans was phenomenal, but the performance against England didn’t match up, so having a year to build up to this next opportunity against one of our favourite opponents is exactly what this young squad needs, and we will do everything we can as players to make this a day to remember for our fans.

“The upcoming Autumn tests are going to be a massive challenge for us as a team but a really exciting one. We have the opportunity to play some of the best teams in the world and challenge ourselves against teams and styles of rugby we are not used to coming up against.

“In particular, welcoming New Zealand to Scotland for the first time will be a special opportunity of two proud nations, rich in culture to come up against each other in our country’s capital.”

Tickets and packages will be released from tomorrow (Tuesday 9 June) for Scotland Supporters Club Members, with the general sale starting at 10am on Wednesday 10 June. Demand is expected to be high, and supporters are encouraged to note their eligible windows to secure the best seats early.
