The squad includes several players who featured in the 2026 U20 Six Nations for Scotland U20, as well as a number of the NTP players.

The squad will play against Italy on Friday 10 April before facing them again on Wednesday 15 April.

This is the second year where Scotland U19 fixtures have taken place at this time of year. In 2025, they faced England U19 in Newcastle before hosting Italy U19 in Melrose.

Euan Clark will be the Head Coach, and will coach the backs and focus on attack. Gary Strain takes on the Forwards Coach role, and Craig Jackson will lead the defence.

Clark said: “This gives our best pathway players a really good opportunity to press for Junior World Championship selection, and to bridge the gap between pathway and age-grade international rugby.

“The more games we can get players at this level the better. Some of the players selected will be playing at age-grade international level for the first time, so it’s an excellent opportunity for them to showcase their talents for our U20 coaches.

“We’ll get some time after the first game to analyse our performance, and then we’ll have two days training in Parma before playing Italy again, so it’s two really good opportunities for the players in the space of a few days to test themselves.”
