Squad update 27/01 | Five players called up ahead of opener. 

There are two uncapped players in the selection: Saracens stand-off Fergus Burke, who qualifies through the lineage of his Glasgow-born grandfather, and Glasgow Warriors No 8 Jack Mann, who has impressed in the Scotstoun back row this season.

Jack Mann has stood out for Glasgow Warriors this season.

Bordeaux-Bègles’ Jonny Gray, who has won 77 caps, will be hoping to earn a first cap since the 2023 Six Nations, the second row having returned from injury to stake his claim for a Test spot.

There are 22 forwards named, with Rory Darge, Jamie Ritchie, Luke Crosbie, Josh Bayliss, Jack Dempsey and Matt Fagerson joining Mann as back row selections.

Gray is one of five second-row forwards, alongside Grant Gilchrist, Scott Cummings, Marshall Sykes and Gregor Brown.

In the front row, props Pierre Schoeman, Rory Sutherland, Jamie Bhatti, Zander Fagerson, Will Hurd and D’Arcy Rae are joined by four hookers in the shape of Ewan Ashman, Dave Cherry, Dylan Richardson and Patrick Harrison.

The 15 backs comprise a back-three stable of Blair Kinghorn, Duhan van der Merwe, Darcy Graham and Kyle Rowe, with Tuipulotu named as one of five centres alongside Huw Jones, Stafford McDowall, Matt Currie and Rory Hutchinson.

In the half-backs, Finn Russell and Tom Jordan are in alongside fellow stand-off Burke, with the group completed by scrum-half trio Ben White, George Horne and Jamie Dobie.

Saracens’ Fergus Burke is included for the first time.

After facing Italy on the opening weekend of the 2025 Guinness Six Nations, Scotland then host Ireland on Sunday 9 February, before heading to Twickenham on Saturday 22 February to contest the Calcutta Cup. They then have a home match against Wales on Saturday 8 March before finishing up with a trip to Paris to face France on Saturday 15 March
