Robert Christopher Deans began playing rugby at Haddington RFC at the age of six.
In 2022, he lead the school’s U18 as Co-Captain to the Scottish Rugby Schools Cup.
Robbie has represented Scotland at U16, U18 and U20 level. He featured four times for Scotland U20 during the 2023 Under-20 Six Nations.
Growing up, Robbie attended Merchiston Castle School. So far in his career he has played for Haddington, Musselburgh, Merchiston and Dalkeith.
He played for FOSROC Super Series side Watsonians during the 2023 FOSROC Super Series Sprint and made eight appearances for the FOSROC Future XV during the Championship. Currently, Deans plays his rugby with Edinburgh Rugby as part of their FOSROC Scottish Rugby contracted academy.
Away from the action of the rugby pitch, Robbie is a keen golfer and enjoys getting out on the course.
