It’s officially one week to go until our women’s team take on the Red Roses in a record-breaking Guinness Women’s Six Nations clash at Scottish Gas Murrayfield next Saturday 18 April. 

Momentum for this match has been building at pace, and while the talent and action on the pitch promise to be unmissable, there’s just as much to look forward to before kick-off. From the moment you arrive, Scottish Gas Murrayfield will be packed with activity, entertainment and plenty opportunities to get involved. 

Scottish Open putting challenge

Put your putting skills to the test at the Scottish Open putting green, where fans of all ages can step up, take aim and see if they’ve got what it takes to sink the perfect putt. Whether you’re a seasoned golfer or just giving it a go for fun, it’s a great chance to get involved and enjoy a different kind of sporting challenge on match day. 

While you’re there, don’t miss the opportunity to get a close-up look at the iconic Scottish Open trophy, a rare chance to see one of the game’s most prestigious prizes up close and snap a memorable photo before heading into the game. 

Trans Atlantic Rowathon

You’ll also have the chance to meet an inspiring group taking on an extraordinary challenge. Jenna, a paediatric surgeon working across Edinburgh’s Sick Kids, Ninewells Hospital in Dundee and Borders General Hospital in Melrose, is part of a team of three healthcare professionals preparing to row 3,000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean later this year. 

Alongside physiotherapist Ellen Clark and sports and endurance physio Lauren Wilde-Arnold, Jenna will take on the journey from the Canary Islands to Antigua, aiming to break the current record held by the Maclean brothers. A former Irish hockey internationalist, Jenna and her teammates are combining elite ambition with a powerful purpose. 

Their primary fundraising effort supports the Archie Foundation, while they are also connected to My Name’5 Doddie Foundation. On match day, the trio will be in the West Fan Village with two rowing machines, taking on a fundraising rowathon. It’s a chance for fans to support their challenge, learn more about their journey, and contribute to two incredible causes. 

Fiji dance troupe

Soak up the vibrant atmosphere as a Fijian dance troupe brings the spirit and energy of Fiji to Scottish Gas Murrayfield, delivering a colourful and unforgettable cultural performance.

Blue light services

Adding to the occasion, representatives from the blue light services, including the Coastguard, RNLI, Mountain Rescue, Fire Service and Scottish Ambulance Service will also be present, showcasing the vital work they do every day.
