We can’t get any momentum on halfway and Australia win the jackal pen.

Australia steal the lineout but find touch on almost the exact same mark, seven metres from their line.

As Scotland get the penalty, and kick to the right corner, we make three changes.

Caity Mattinson, Christine Belisle and Anne Young replace Brebner-Holden, Clarke and Bartlett.

Nelson steals the ball back and Scotland come forward but then the steal from Australia at the ruck earns the penalty.

Another maul from Scotland but the referee calls for the ball to be used and it isn’t.

Scotland trail by 9 points at the break. Tries from Bartlett and Rollie get us back into it after a difficult start.

Scotland gather a loose ball and look to escape up the left, but Thomson can’t hold the offload.

We kick downfield and then Australia kick it back. We’ll have the lineout just inside Australia’s half.

A high tackle from Siokapesi Palu on Bartlett from the kick off, and she’s off to the sin bin.

A kick through is dropped by Australia and gathered by Orr, who fires towards the right corner. She’s brought down and Scotland’s forwards front up, carrying phase after phase before Leah Bartlett gets over. Nelson converts from under the posts.

Australia fire up the right through Stewart again, but the counter ruck from Scotland after McGhie’s tackle is excellent and we get the penalty.

We kick into Australia’s half.

A fourth penalty against Scotland for not rolling in 25 minutes, and the referee decides a conversation with Rachel Malcolm is needed.

Australia kick up to around 35 metres from their line.

Australia kick clear and then Thomson spills it forward as she looks to gather from the deck.
