Arnold Clark Premierships Feature Match: Heriot’s v Melrose

22 Nov 2025

Round ten of the Arnold Clark Men’s Premiership kicks-off later this afternoon, with a mid-table battle taking place between Heriot’s and Melrose at Goldenacre (kick-off 2pm).

With Heriot’s on 24 points and Melrose on 20, the sides head into today’s clash occupying fifth and sixth place respectively, each aiming to use the encounter to remain within striking distance of the table toppers.

The visitors will be looking to achieve their third successive win, having secured victory against Hawick and Glasgow Hawks, while Heriot’s will be looking to bounce back from their narrow defeat against Glasgow Hawks in the last round.

Four things to watch out for this weekend:

  • Ayr, who haven’t lost a match this season, will be looking to continue their impressive form against Glasgow Hawks as they travel to Balgray.
  • Newly promoted GHA will be aiming to build on their impressive form this season, which sees the side currently sit fourth on the table, as they welcome Hawick to Braidholm.
  • In the Arnold Clark Women’s Premiership, a keenly contested fixture is anticipated in the capital, as Watsonians face Corstorphine in an Edinburgh derby, with the previous encounter between the two sides seeing Watsonians claim a narrow five-point win.
  • With only one-point separating the two sides, Cartha Queens Park and Garioch will be vying for a win in a bottom of the table encounter within Division Two.
