Hillhead sit top of the second stage division two with three games remaining, and 14 points clear of the chasing Biggar RFC.
Cartha, on the other hand, are without a win after the split, and only a point safe from chasing eighth placed Garioch. The lowest ranked team at the end of the normal season goes into a relegation playoff series against the three top finishers from the regional leagues.
The majority of the Arnold Clark Men’s Premiership is on a break until Saturday 22 November, due to the remaining Quilter Nations Series matches taking place on November 16 and 23, but will see a catch up game take place between Hawick and Ayr this weekend.
Three things to watch out for this weekend:
- Stirling County takes on Corstorphine on Saturday. A win for County locks them in for a berth in December’s final, while it’s do or die for Cougars as they chase Watsonians in second.
- Watsonian FC travel to Goldenacre to face Heriot’s. A win for Watsonians and a loss for Cougars would secure Watsons a final berth against Stirling County.
- Ayr host Hawick in an Arnold Clark Men’s Premiership catch up game. Ayr sit top of the ladder, with Hawick rock bottom, both with a game in hand.
