Boys Schools Cup Finals postponed
9 Dec 2025Scottish Rugby has taken the difficult decision to postpone the Boys Schools Cup Finals that were scheduled to take place tomorrow (Wednesday 10 December) at Scottish Gas Murrayfield.
Inclement weather due to the second named storm of the season, Storm Bram, is due to hit the country over night. This storm will bring challenging weather conditions and a period of disruption to the transport network.
The current Met Office Yellow warning for wind is in place until tomorrow night and is predicting gusts of up to 55mph in the Edinburgh area as well as up to 90mph in other parts of Scotland.
Both Traffic Scotland and Police Scotland have issued travel advice which relates to high sided vehicles as well as avoiding unnecessary travel. With teams expecting to travel from across the country, as well as a large number of spectators due to travel, the decision to postpone is needed.
This decision was made with great care. Scottish Rugby has consulted closely with partners, including Transport Scotland, to ensure we are acting in everyone’s best interests. We fully appreciate how important this event is to the players, schools, and the wider community, and we share in the disappointment this will cause.
Work will now be done to find a suitable alternative date for these finals to be played.
