The rugby posts were straight down after the URC semi-final on Saturday in preparation for a quick turnaround as Zach Bryan takes to the stage on Sunday as part of his global ‘With Heaven on Tour’.
As excitement builds across the city and the Country music fandom, the stadium is busy with contractors to ensure the stadium is ready for over 60,000 music fans on Sunday.
Scottish Gas Murrayfield has worked closely with partners to help ensure fans enjoy a safe and memorable experience while minimising disruption to local residents and the wider city.
Ticketholders are encouraged to plan their journey in advance and allow plenty of time to travel to the stadium. Additional public transport services will be in place, attendees encouraged to make use of public transport and Park & Ride facilities wherever possible.
Scottish Rugby’s Director of Stadium Development & Operations, Mark Laidlaw, said: “There is a real sense of excitement as we kick off a busy concert season with Zach Bryan this weekend, followed by Luke Combs in July and Bon Jovi in August. We would like to thank all of our partners, including the City of Edinburgh Council, security providers, emergency services and transport providers for the excellent collaboration and planning that goes into delivering events of this scale.
“With the addition of the Fiji v Scotland match in July and the Newcastle United v Everton football match in August, our stadium no longer rests in the traditional sporting ‘off season’. We appreciate all the patience and support that our local community offers us throughout the whole year.”
City of Edinburgh Council’s Culture and Communities Convener, Margaret Graham, added: “We’re delighted to welcome Zach Bryan to our city for what promises to be a fantastic night. These concerts bring significant benefits to our local economy and mark the start of another exciting summer in the city, with our famous festivals just around the corner.
“We’ll continue to work closely with event organisers, emergency services and partners to ensure major events like this are delivered safely and effectively so that residents, visitors and fans alike can have an enjoyable night.”
