U17 FOSROC Festival sees regional academy sides joined by Newcastle Falcons
12 Apr 2024The four FOSROC regional academy U17 sides are in action on the Murrayfield back pitches on Sunday, and are joined by a Newcastle Falcons U17 side.
Sides representing Caledonia, Edinburgh, Glasgow & the West and the Borders & East Lothian will play two 40-minute games each.
Head of Pathways John Fletcher said: “Having Newcastle Falcons bringing a team up is great for our pathway as it gives our players new opponents who play a different style of rugby.
“Playing against a variety of players and playing tyles will only be beneficial for our young talent.
“We look forward to seeing what our regional academy teams on Sunday, as they get the opportunity to showcase what they’ve been working on in training, and hopefully we’ll see lots of elements from our blueprint curriculum.”
