Andrew William McLean was born in the north-east in Aberdeen.
Andrew attended Robert Gordon’s College, where he began playing rugby aged five.
He played youth rugby at Aberdeen Grammar Rugby, before moving to granite-city rivals Gordonians and then to Glasgow Hawks. McLean currently plays for FOSROC Super Series side Boroughmuir Bears.
He has represented Scotland U16 Blues.
Andrew also Played district cricket and competed at Scottish championships for gymnastics when he was 12.
