Kerr found his passion for rugby at Gala RFC and played the way up through their age grades.
In 2022, Kerr moved to FOSROC Super Series side Boroughmuir Bears before representing the FOSROC Future XV outfit during the 2023 FOSROC Super Series Championship.
Kerr was named as one of the FOSROC Scottish Rugby contracted academy players aligned to Glasgow Warriors for the 2023/24 season.
