Tickets for December’s unmissable 1872 Cup decider between Edinburgh Rugby and Glasgow Warriors at Scottish Gas Murrayfield (Saturday 30 December, kick-off 3.05pm) are now on public sale!
In clash of world rugby’s oldest club rivals, Edinburgh and Glasgow face-off on the ‘Night Afore’ in Scotland’s capital city, with the derby aptly named ‘The Auld Acquaintance’ in a nod to the history of the fixture and its regular slot in the Hogmanay period, taking on lyrics from the New Year’s Eve Scottish folk song ‘Auld Lang Syne’.
The annual festive derby – which regularly attracts a bumper crowd of over 25,000 – is expected to sell quickly, with fans encouraged to buy early to secure the best seats at Scotland’s national stadium.
Taking place on Saturday 30 December, at an earlier kick-off time of 3pm, the showpiece derby is the perfect event to bring your squad, friends or family with plenty on throughout the day to keep fans of all ages entertained.
