Scotland’s Playlist returns following a successful debut season in 2021 and will once again give musicians and bands the opportunity to play in front of thousands of rugby supporters in the fan village at BT Murrayfield, celebrating all that’s good about the country’s talent.

Following hundreds of applications from local musicians over the last couple of months, the final four have now been selected.

First up for Scotland’s opening game against Australia next Saturday (29 October) will be Dunfermline-based Moonlight Zoo.

Formed in 2016, Moonlight Zoo have taken their show to every corner of the UK and have performed at major festivals including Isle of Wight, TRNSMT and Kendal Calling.

Their first single “Breaking or Broken” was a Radio X Track of the Week and their follow-up single “Wild” was a BBC One Scotland single of the week and led to the band selling out the infamous King Tuts in Glasgow.

Performing on the North Stage ahead of the match against Fiji on Saturday 5 November will be Bears With Feathers.

Also originating from Dunfermline, the five-piece indie band play some well-known rock hits, as well as bringing the occasional sing-along-songs of their own to the show. Their original material is available on Spotify, Apple Music and iTunes.

Dancing On Tables will complete a trio of Dunfermline-based bands, when they take to the stage ahead of the sold-out match against New Zealand on Sunday 13 November.

Named one of Variety’s ’10 Brits to Watch’, Dancing On Tables are a five-piece pop-rock band, who have gone from playing at friend’s parties and school halls, to supporting Catfish and the Bottlemen as part of their UK arena tour.

Their trademark high energy, anthemic live sound have seen sold-out dates across the UK, as well as festival bills including the likes of Latitude and Kendal Calling.

Having just released their debut album ‘Colour In The Grey’; the release has seen the band become the sound of a Schuh campaign, a multi-year Scottish Water advertising campaign and even a spot on playlists such as New Music Friday, The Pop List and Breaking Alternative.

Completing the line-up on Saturday 19 November ahead of the match against Argentina, will be Glasgow-based Spyres.

Since their official formation in April 2019, Spyres have racked up over one million streams on Spotify alone with break-out singles “Otherside”, “Fake ID” and “I Don’t Care”, all receiving incredible radio support from the likes of BBC Radio 1’s Jack Saunders and Annie Mac, Radio X’s John Kennedy, as well as BBC Introducing Scotland’s Phoebe I-H and Vic Galloway.

Making a name for themselves on stage, Spyres supporting credentials include The Jesus And Mary Chain, Nothing But Thieves, The Snuts and Lauren Hibberd.

Their headline shows at Glasgow’s King Tuts on the Summer Nights programme sold-out in less than 24 hours and the band have also performed sold-out shows at London’s Old Blue Last, Glasgow’s Stereo and Edinburgh’s Mash House.

Spyres have performed live at a number of major festivals, including TRNSMT, Neighbourhood, Live At Leeds and a headline slot on the ‘This Feeling’ stage at Isle Of Wight Festival.

As well as performing live at BT Murrayfield, all the bands will be featured in the match day programme, on the big screen in the stadium bowl and on Scottish Rugby’s digital channels throughout the autumn. The artists will also be given tickets to the matches, along with a fee for performing.
