After their two-week break and a tough result at Bridgehaugh last week, the young side will be looking to face the current league table leaders with exciting and competitive play.

When the two teams met for the first time six weeks ago, the FOSROC Future XV were in front by two points at half time but ultimately the hosts secured a healthy 45-14 win in front of a home crowd.

The starting XV sees a few familiar names return to the group including Tom Banatvala and Jerry Blyth-Lafferty in the pack and Finn Burgess, Isaac Coates and Ben Salmon starting with the backs. This week sees Scotland U20 co-captain Liam McConnell make his debut for the young side and start in the second row.

Head Coach Scott Forrest said: “Friday was a disappointing result against the Wolves, and we know as a group we have to see an improvement in our individual and collective performances this weekend. We had started to build on some encouraging performances in previous weeks but feel like we let ourselves down against the Wolves. We now look ahead to a consistent run of games which we know will help us build some much needed consistency in our performances.

“Heriot’s are setting the bar right now in the league and are playing some excellent rugby. We know we will have to front up physically this Sunday to give us the chance of competing and are hopeful we will see a positive response from the young group of players.”
