Samaanther Jane Taganekurukuru started playing rugby when she was 15 years old at Howe of Fife.
The back-row featured for Dundee in the U18 National Shiel Final, lifting the silverware at Hive Stadium. Later that year she was selected for Scotland U18 in the Six Nations Festival.
In the 2023/24 season, Samaanther was part of the Premiership final winning team with Stirling County. A few months later she was named as part of the Edinburgh Rugby squad in the Celtic Challenge, making two appearances.
Samaanther is currently supported through the East Regional Training Centre.
