Stage two of the Arnold Clark Women’s Premiership kicks off tonight with a belter – league leaders Stirling County host second-placed Watsonian FC, live on BBC ALBA.

Carrying their points tally over from stage one, Stirling gained 35 points from their seven matches, with Watsonians winning six from their seven outings – losing only to County, 34-17.

The splitting of the league into a top and bottom four will see a further six matchdays for each team, with the Arnold Clark Women’s Premiership final – first versus second – scheduled to take place on Saturday 13 December.

Stirling will look at this match as a chance to get breathing room from the chasing pack, and Watsonians have a chance to reel the leaders in. Catch all the action broadcast live on BBC ALBA tonight – it’s a 7.35pm kick off.

Five things to watch out for this weekend:

  • Heriot’s women take on Corstorphine Cougars as both sides push for a top two finish and a berth in December’s final.
  • Cartha Queens Park host Biggar as both sides look to keep their heads above water in the relegation fight.
  • GHA take on Watsonians in the Arnold Clark Men’s Premiership – the sides sitting next to one another in the standings, third and fourth.
  • After some early season setbacks, Heriot’s have recovered well to midtable and now take on bottom of the pile, Glasgow Hawks away from home.
  • Currie Chieftains continued on their brilliant form last weekend and will look to cement their place in the top two when they travel to Kelso tomorrow.
