Both semi-final matches took place this weekend with the four teams who finished in the top four positions in the regular league table after 14 regular rounds of the competition.

The 1st v 4th semi-final match took place on Friday evening with table toppers Heriot’s Rugby hosting fourth place Stirling Wolves at Hawthornden, Lasswade RFC.

Stirling Wolves strong first half performance put them in good steading as they led at the break 19-7. Heriot’s were able to come back with two more tries in the second half but Stirling Wolves also added one more to their tally which put them ahead, and as the final whistle blew the scoreboard was 26-21.

Super Series rugby history was made on Friday as this will be the first time that Stirling Wolves have made a Super Series Championship Final since Super Series began in 2019.

The second finalist was decided on Saturday evening in the 2nd v 3rd semi-final match at Millbrae in a repeat of last year’s Championship Final, Ayrshire Bulls v Watsonians.

The scoring was all tied up at half-time at 19-points apiece after a highly competitive first-half performance from both sides. As the second half got underway Ayrshire Bulls put their foot on the gas and added three more tries to the scoreboard. With Watsonians only second half points coming from an early penalty, Ayrshire Bulls marched their way to the Final with a comfortable final score of 38-22.

Returning to the Championship final for the third time, Ayrshire Bulls will be keen to reclaim the Championship title they won in 2021 that was taken from them last year when they were defeated by Watsonians.
