Arnold Clark Premierships feature match: GHA v Glasgow Hawks

19 Sep 2025

In a new-look Glasgow derby, Arnold Clark Men’s Premiership surprise package of the season GHA take on a struggling Glasgow Hawks side, as the newly promoted hosts look to make it five wins from the opening five fixtures.

The hosts, having won the Scottish Cup in season 2023/24, have made a red-hot start to life in the topflight, sitting second and just a point behind leaders Ayr.

The Hawks hit back against Hawick in the previous round (42-10) after a shaky start in the preceding three rounds of action. That win lifted them off the bottom rung of the ladder to seventh.

Catch all the action of this week’s feature match between GHA and Glasgow Hawks on the Scottish Rugby YouTube channel live and free from 5pm on Saturday.

Five things to watch out for this weekend:

  • Two close results for Ayr and Watsonians in the previous weekend makes for a sumptuous encounter this weekend at Myreside, as first takes on fourth.
  • In the Arnold Clark Women’s Premiership, heavy hitters Watsonians and Hillhead Jordanhill meet at Myreside in a second versus third clash.
  • Kelso looks to extend rival Borders side Selkirk’s miserable start to the season, as last season’s surprise side go searching for their first win of the competition.
  • Heriot’s Rugby Women look to keep pace with the top four as they host bottom of the table Garioch. Heriot’s are level on points with fourth-placed Cougars.
  • Melrose and Currie, after close losses in the previous round, face off at the Greenyards for this round five clash.
