The first seven Friday night games will be shown live on the Scottish Rugby website, starting with this Friday’s opening match where Boroughmuir Bears will host Heriot’s Rugby at Meggetland (kick-off 7.35pm), with commentary from Jamie Lyall and Chris Paterson.

Throughout the FOSROC Super Series Championship, seven Saturday fixtures will be shown live on the Scottish Rugby website, BBC Sport website and BBC iPlayer, two from Rounds 1-7 and five from Rounds 8 onwards.

Starting with this Saturday’s match between last season’s finalists Ayrshire Bulls and Watsonians at Millbrae (kick-off 5.30pm), with commentary to be provided by Bruce Millar and former Scotland international Lee Jones.

The second Saturday match from Rounds 1-7 which will be shown live on the Scottish Rugby website, BBC Sport website and BBC iPlayer will be in Round 3 when Heriot’s Rugby welcome Stirling Wolves to Goldenacre (kick-off 5pm).

All live Friday and Saturday matches will be available to those living outside of the UK to watch on the Scottish Rugby website.

A highlights package featuring all matches from across the weekend, including those not being broadcast live, will be available every Monday night on the Scottish Rugby website following each round of games.

A further announcement regarding live broadcast coverage of matches from Round 8 onwards, including the penultimate weekend of semi-final fixtures and the Championship Final will be made over the coming weeks.

The commentary team for the FOSROC Super Series Championship includes: Jamie Lyall, Paul Mitchell, Stuart McFarlane, Hugh Dan MacLennan, Bruce Millar, Dale Clancy, Andrew Petrie and Stuart McAvoy, with analysis from Chris Paterson, Lee Jones, Heather Lockhart and Tom Brown.

Grant McKelvey, Scottish Rugby’s Head of Performance Programs, said: “The broadcasting of the Super Series Championship provides us with an incredible opportunity to showcase the next generation of aspiring professional players, coaches and match officials in Scotland not only domestically but also on a global stage.

“Scottish Rugby are committed to continuing to provide and drive high-performance opportunities and environments. With the expansion of the Super Series Championship to include the FOSROC Future XV side, it’s a really exciting time to be involved in Super Series rugby.

“Players from across the tournament will be able to be involved in increased training and competitive playing environments in what is sure to be an entertaining couple of months of rugby.”

Scottish Rugby’s Head of Marketing, Jeremy Bone said: “This is the first part of an exciting broadcast offering for the 2023 FOSROC Super Series Championship, which means we will once again be showing matches live to rugby fans both in the UK and overseas.

“It’s great that we can kick-off the opening weekend with two live matches. Starting with this Friday’s game between Boroughmuir Bears and Heriot’s Rugby and a re-run of last year’s Championship Final between Ayrshire Bulls and Watsonians on Saturday evening.”
