Semi-finals for 2023/24 National Youth Cup competitions drawn

Boys U18 National Youth Cup

Boroughmuir defeated Gala Wanderers 50-0 to book the first semi-final slot for the U18 Youth Cup. They will face Dumfries Saints who were victorious over Currie Chieftains, 34-19.

West of Scotland will host Stirling County in the semi-final, after they overcome competition from Peebles and GHA respectively.

Boys U18 National Youth Shield

Earlston HS/Melrose Wasps and Hawick Youth will play in a semi-final derby. The hosts beat Perthshire 10-50, whilst Hawick were awarded the win with their opposition, Ellon, unable to field a team.

Ayr/Wellington’s quarterfinal against Mackie concluded in a 18-36 victory, and they will face Highland, who beat Dunfermline 5-42.

Boys U18 National Youth Plate

Biggar overcame opposition from Strathmore for a semi-final spot with the full-time score settled at 32-12. Biggar will face Kelso Harlequins, who beat Aberdeen Wanderers 50-3.

Dundee v Selkirk Youth was concluded a draw (15-15). Selkirk Youth progress based in criteria contained in National Competition Rules, and they will face Jed-Thistle, who beat Moray/Huntly 28-15.

U18 National Youth Bowl

Dalziel managed to edge a win from East Kilbride, 17-14, and they will face Kirkcaldy in the semi-final. Kirkcaldy beat Deeside/Garioch 27-42.

Hamilton/Strathaven’s trip to Orkney proved both challenging and fruitful, booking a spot in the semi’s 12-14. They will face Whitecraigs, who also narrowly defeated Cartha Queens Park/Cambuslang, 19-17.

U16 National Youth Cup

Currie Chieftains booked their semi-final place with a 18-24 win over Stirling Castle. Their opponents, Peebles, secured a 22-17 win over West of Scotland.

Ayr/Wellington will host the second semi-final after beating Dumfries Saints 35-8. They will face Hawick Youth, after they beat Earlston HS/Melrose Wasps, 26-14.

U16 National Youth Shield

Gala Red Triangle narrowly won their quarterfinal fixture, beating Dunfermline 22-26. They will face Boroughmuir.

Highland’s 52-8 win over Ellon gave them the home advantage for semi-final number two, where they will face GHA, as they emerged victorious against Mackie (39-34).

U16 National Youth Plate

Jed-Thistle’s 54-5 saw them book a coveted semi-final spot.

One more quarterfinal is still to be played – Orkney v Whitecraigs. This will take place on Sunday 19 November. The winner of this match will face Jed-Thistle.

For semi-final two, Deeside will host Dundee after the two sides overcame competition from Kirkcaldy and Selkirk.

U16 National Youth Bowl

Falkirk progress to the semi0finals after a 12-52 victory over Moray/Huntly. They will face East Kilbride/Strathaven after they were awarded the win over Renfrewshire Raiders who were unable to field a team.

Aberdeen Wanderers narrow 8-12 victory over Biggar saw them book a home semi-final. They will face Kelso after they beat Strathmore, 29-20.
