Squads for Round 2 Girls Regional Game Series announced
The three U16 and U18 squads for East, West and Caledonia for Round 2 of the Girls Regional Game Series have been announced.
The Series, which is now in its third year of operation, aligns with the Women’s & Girls’ Strategy and has been developed collaboratively by Scottish Rugby’s Rugby Development and High Performance departments.
Round 2 will be hosted at Dalziel Rugby Club on Sunday 9 February.

This programme serves as a key entry point into the female youth talent pathway, providing a competitive development opportunity for identified young players across Scotland, irrespective of geography or local environment, and is used to support talent identification for National Age Grade programmes.
Last weekend, the six sides faced off in Round 1 at Highland Rugby Club.
Reflecting on the round, Scottish Rugby’s Head of Regional Pathways and Game Development, Neil Graham said: “Highland Rugby Club played host to a great start to the Girls Regional Games Series, with six cracking games throughout the day.
“The players have put in a lot of hard work to get to this point, and that effort was rewarded with some very competitive games, and lots of Blueprint movements on show. This Sunday will be another opportunity for the players to play in some competitive matches and challenge their skills.”
