U17 regional academy sides take part in FOSROC Super 4s
The FOSROC Academy players at U17 level took to the back pitches at Scottish Gas Murrayfield last week to play against each other in the FOSROC Super 4s.
Sides representing Caledonia, Glasgow & the West, Edinburgh and Borders & East Lothian played against each other in 30 minute matches.
The sides featured some players involved in the district teams that competed in the Merchiston Castle School U18 Rugby Festival last weekend.
Head of Pathways John Fletcher said: “The Super 4s gives our academy players the chance to play against the other regions and focus on what they have been going after in training.
“The shortened matches mean that decision making under pressure is so important.
“It is always great to see where our young players are at this stage of their development can do, and the more opportunities they get in these types of environment the better.”
Super 4s results:
Edinburgh 19-12 Borders & East Lothian
Glasgow & the West 15-0 Caledonia
Glasgow & the West 19-31 Edinburgh
Borders & East Lothian 21-22 Caledonia
Borders & East Lothian 7-50 Glasgow & the West
Edinburgh 33-7 Caledonia
