This year’s conference will be hosted by Caroline Blair (host of the official Scottish Rugby Podcast) and will include sessions for club, school and society leaders and volunteers. An update on the Rugby Development strategic plan will also be part of the conference, with input from the Club Rugby Board.

Scottish Rugby is also pleased to announce that this year’s National Recognition Awards night will take place the evening before the conference on Friday 24 May at Scottish Gas Murrayfield.

Further conference and awards evening details will be confirmed later in Spring.

Attendees can sign up now via SCRUMS.

Keith Wallace, Scottish Rugby Vice President and Chair of the Club Rugby Board (CRB) said: “The Club Rugby Board are pleased that two of our most exciting annual events will be brought together for a weekend dedicated to celebrating our clubs, schools, societies and the countless volunteers who power them.

“Our National Recognition Awards promises to be a night filled with inspirational stories, whilst the Community Game Conference will be an excellent day of collaboration, building on the great buzz we had last year.

“I am looking forward to welcoming volunteers from far and wide, and sharing more about our forthcoming strategy and our return on social investment work.”

Gavin Scott, Director of Rugby Development added: “It’s important that we take the time to bring together as many members of the grassroots community as possible to engage in meaningful conversation, develop their knowledge and skills, and the Community Game Conference is the perfect way to do this.

“A year on from starting the consultation process for the new Rugby Development Strategy at this very event, it is fitting that we have the opportunity to present on our strategic vision for the future of our game. I look forward to welcoming everyone along.”
