She started playing rugby aged 15 at Stirling County and played three seasons with the U18s side.
Donaldson studied Sports and Recreation Management at the University of Edinburgh, while also playing for the university side. She was involved in a number of successes with the club, including BUCS national league winners in 2020 and reaching the BUCS National Cup final in 2022 at Sixways Stadium.
The second row moved to Leicester Tigers ahead of the 2023/24 season.
