A former South Africa Schools and U20 player, Pierre Schoeman joined Edinburgh in the summer of 2018 from Super Rugby team Bulls and has gone on to make 100 appearances in the time since.
Named as Edinburgh’s Player of the Year in 2019, Schoeman qualified on residency grounds in 2021 and made his Scotland debut against Tonga later that year, scoring a try into the bargain.
‘Schoooo’ as he is affectionately called by Edinburgh and Scotland fans alike, was an ever-present in both subsequent Guinness Six Nations campaigns and he featured at Rugby World Cup 2023 in games against South Africa, Tonga and Ireland.
