Katie Buchanan qualifies for Scotland through her maternal grandmother, who was from the Gorbals in Glasgow.
Her rugby journey started in 2016 with Mansfield Rugby Club. She went on to play at Exeter University, where she was a BUCS finalist in 2023.
The winger players her club rugby with Exeter Chiefs in the PWR, with whom she was a PWR finalist with in 2023 and has made more than 50 appearances for during her time at the club.
Her brother is a professional football for Birmingham City.
