George Edward Turner became the 1086th player to represent Scotland with a replacement appearance against Samoa in the 2017 Autumn Test win at BT Murrayfield Stadium.

Having excelled since making a move to Glasgow Warriors in 2017, dynamic hooker George Turner made his international bow against Samoa that same year, but it was on the North America tour of 2018 that he truly burst onto the Scotland scene, with a hat-trick against USA followed up by another score in the game with Canada a week later.

The former Stewart’s Melville College pupil featured at the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan and started in four of Scotland five 2021 Guinness Six Nations matches, including away wins at Twickenham and in Paris.

He passed the 30-cap mark during the 2022 Autumn Nations Series, and started as Scotland won again in England in the 2023 Guinness Six Nations.
