Liam Scott McConnell is a blindside flanker who plays for Edinburgh Rugby.
McConnell played for Stewarts Melville Lions throughout primary school, before moving to Boroughmuir at the start of high school, where he has now progressed to playing for their FOSROC Super6 side.
He has been a FOSROC Scottish Rugby contracted academy player with Edinburgh Rugby for the past two seasons and made his first appearance for the senior pro side during their warm up match against Bath in October 2023. McConnell also played as part of the FOSROC Future XV in the 2023 FOSROC Super Series.
He played for Scotland U16 and U18. After co-captaining alongside Duncan Munn in the 2023 Under-20 Six Nations, McConnell was named sole captain for the 2024 campaign.
