Scottish Rugby’s digital transformation continues with launch of Ticketing App

6 Oct 2022

Scottish Rugby and leading digital ticket distribution solution, Tixserve, have today launched the Scottish Rugby Ticketing App.

As well as being an integral part of our drive for improved sustainability, access and security, moving to a paperless ticketing system is part of our digital transformation journey to improve the supporter experience on matchdays, which has already seen the launch of the new Virtual Venue facility to help you buy your Scotland tickets.

The free Scottish Rugby Ticketing App offers a convenient and engaging platform for fans, with stadium maps, seating plans and important match day information all available in addition to the match ticket. The app will be used for all match tickets for the upcoming Autumn Nations Series matches at BT Murrayfield. Ticketholders for these matches have already been contacted with detailed information on how tickets are transferred onto the new Scottish Rugby Ticketing App.

Supporters can find everything they need to know about the new Ticketing App on the Scottish Rugby website. There’s an illustrated guide and a video showing how to download the app, where to find your tickets, how to transfer tickets to others in a group and other information that can be found on the app.

Kerry Halliday, Head of Group Ticketing & Customer Engagement at Scottish Rugby explained: “Introducing Tixserve’s digital ticketing solution for match ticket delivery this season was a natural next step for us in our digital transformation journey. After a lot of time and dedication, we are delighted to be able to launch and further enhance our engagement with our fans.”

Managing Director of Tixserve, Pat Kirby, commented: “The Tixserve team is delighted to announce this multi-year partnership with Scottish Rugby. I would like to thank Kerry Halliday and her colleagues at Scottish Rugby for their professional role in the timely implementation of the onboarding process ahead of the upcoming Autumn Nations series of matches at BT Murrayfield.”

The new Scottish Rugby Ticketing App is available to download via both the Apple App store and the Google Play store. In this first season only Scotland match tickets will be delivered via the Scottish Rugby Ticketing App, but it is hoped that this delivery method will be used for Scotland Season Passes as well as Edinburgh Rugby and Glasgow Warriors in due course, further reducing the use of paper and plastic match and season tickets.

Tickets for Scotland’s Autumn Nations Series matches against Australia, Fiji and Argentina are still available to purchase via the Scottish Rugby website with the match against New Zealand sold out.
