Qualifying for Scotland through his Glasgow-born Grandparents, Fergus Burke earned his first call up to Scotland Men ahead of the 2025 Guinness Men's Six Nations.
Burke began his professional rugby career with Canterbury in the 2019 NPC before debuting for the Crusaders in 2020. In 2022, Burke excelled for Canterbury, finishing as NPC’s top scorer, and contributed to the Crusaders’ Super Rugby titles in 2022 and 2023.
Injured in late 2023, he missed most of the 2024 season before then moving to Saracens that year.
In June 2024, Burke was included in the Barbarians squad for an international friendly fixture against Fiji at Twickenham Stadium in London. He played the full 80 minutes of the match, helping the team to claim the Killik Cup with a 45–32 win.
