Having made his Glasgow Warriors debut in January 2021, Ross Thompson won a first Scotland cap later that year in the Autumn Nations Series win over Tonga.
An accuracy from the tee, which saw reach nearly 300 points for the Warriors, continued a fine progression from involvement with Scotland U20s and Ayrshire Bulls in the FOSROC Super6.
He featured twice on the Argentina tour during the summer of 2022 and, having this year helped Warriors win the URC before a move to Edinburgh Rugby, Thompson was selected for the 2024 Skyscanner Americas Tour, where he landed five conversions in the win over Canada in Ottawa.
