Stafford McDowall

Versatile Glasgow Warriors back Stafford McDowall has consistently been involved with the national team since a 2019 call-up to the Six Nations squad

He won a first Scotland cap against Italy in the 2023 Famous Grouse Nations Series, having featured more than 70 times for Warriors since a 2017 debut for the Scotstoun side.

McDowall is a former Scotland U18 and U20 international and captained his country during the 2018 World Rugby Under-20 Championship.

The centre made his Scotland debut in a Rugby World Cup warm-up match against Italy in 2023 and in January of this year, he was selected for the 2024 Guinness Six Nations squad, making his Six Nations debut against Ireland in Dublin alongside fellow Glasgow Warriors centre, Huw Jones.

He was named as co-captain for Scotland’s opening match of the Skyscanner Americas tour, scoring a first international try in the win over Canada in Ottawa.
